WTCE department approval qualifying industry related experience or completion of WTEC0101 Welding Fundamentals.

Practical skill development with GTA welding on nonferrous metals in all positions, including pulsed GTAW (GTAW-P). Setup and application of tungsten electrodes, shielding gas on industry-standard welded joint designs, and problems of distrortion, expansion and contraction. Recognition of various alloys and equpment setup for proper operation. This course also incudes AC-TIG and setup for stainless and aluminum welding.
