WTCE department approval qualifying industry related experience or completion of WTEC0101 Welding Fundamentals.

Introduction to flux cored arc welding (FCAW) with shielding gas and self-shielded electrodes and their associated theories and applications. Welded joint designs predominately used in industry and test specimens are fabricated and tested, simulating industry standards. Practical applications of gas metal arc welding (GMAW) with spool guns on ferrous and nonferrous (stainless steel and aluminum) metals.
