Presenter(s)

Emma Harris is a registered behavior technician and behavior coach with CASE. She has been a part of CASE’s instructional support team for 3 years.  Previously, Emma worked in a structured early childhood classroom in district 41 for 4 years. Within the structured classroom Emma worked with students with behavioral challenges, Autism, ADHD, and other related health impairments. As an RBT and behavior coach at CASE Emma has gained a great deal of experience working with and training paraprofessionals, teachers, and other team members on how to properly implement individualized behavior plans. Emma enjoys working as a team to help the most significant students succeed.

Michelle Budz is on the Instructional Support Team at CASE.  She holds an LBS1 degree as well as a MA in Advanced Special Education. She started her career in district 93 as a Middle School Self-Contained Structured Teacher.  After 8 years she became a member of CASE still working as a Self- Contained Teacher, but in district 89. After 15 years of teaching she decided to make the switch to the IST team in order to use her years of teaching experience to coach teachers and teams dealing with the most challenging students.  Michelle believes building positive relationships with the student and team is the key to successful problem solving. Though out of the classroom her passion remains with the children.
