Unique Digital Workflows, from Surgery to Restorative by Mr. Lee Culp

As dentistry evolves into the digital world, the successful incorporation of computerization and new technology will continue to provide more efficient methods of communication and fabrication while at the same time retaining the individual creativity and artistry of the skilled dentist and dental technician, while the utilization of new technology will continue to enhance the close cooperation and working relationship of the dentist/technician team. This presentation will offer participants a unique insight into multiple digital design workflows, by creating a Virtual Patient by combining Face Scanning, IOS and CT scans. Then using Digital Denture Dental Design and Implant planning software for pre surgical planning to design, printed diagnostic wax-up and provisional PMMA restorations, and their digital replicas to guide us in the creation of cad-cam restorations, for both tooth and implant supported prosthetics.

  1. Learn to create a 3D virtual patient layered digital scans.
  2. Adapting conventional techniques to CAD-CAM technology
  3. Dentist/Laboratory communication
  4. Digital Implant, planning, surgical guides, final restorations
  5. Restorative material choices

Digital Bookends: Improving Efficiency & Precision from Single Implants to Full Arches By Dr. Polack

The recent widespread incorporation of digital technology has placed the dental team in a unique position to control all facets of implant therapy like never before. This presentation will allow dentists to integrate innovative solutions for simple and complex cases that can enhance and streamline various aspects of the restorative implant process. Topics will include immediate single implant placement and loading in the esthetic zone, the creation of an “ultra-custom” emergence profile, and the precise digital transfer of this information to the dental laboratory. Component design and selection to enhance esthetics and predictability will be covered, and the benefits of immediate single molar replacement therapy will be addressed. These themes will then inform an overview of complications and material selection for comprehensive implant rehabilitations. Recent technological advancements that can overcome important
limitations of current intraoral scanners and simplify these challenging implant cases will also be presented.

  1. Understand how technology can improve team communication, preoperative planning, guided surgery and enhance the outcome of single implant therapy
  2. Learn creative applications for intraoral scanning, free CAD software and 3D printing to optimize the emergence profile and esthetics of single anterior implant cases.
  3. Identify factors to consider in the material selection for fixed implant rehabilitations
  4. Become familiar with new intraoral scanning technology that can overcome important technological limitations and simplify full-arch implant treatment

Digital Implant Planning and Execution: from simple to complex by Dr. Ludlow

As digital technology becomes more pervasive in everyday practice, there is an increased demand to apply it in ever more expanding clinical situations. This presentation will explore the full application of digital technology in the implant patient from initial diagnostics to the final restoration and will innumerate the planning principles involved in achieving both surgical and prosthetic success.

We will explore the application of these principles in a myriad of cases beginning with the simple single anterior implant and progressing in complexity through the full arch fully-digital fixed implant patient.

  1. Recognize advantages of integrated digital technologies that enhance treatment outcomes
  2. Understand what principles influence idealized gingival and restorative esthetics and what things we should be looking for before surgery has begun.
  3. Understand treatment simplification using the latest tools, components and technologies to expedite implant therapy for edentulous patients

-

Optimized Immediate Workflows Utilizing Surgical Software in Private Practice by Dr. Katranji

A review of patient specific digital workflows will be reviewed and how to incorporate them in private practice. We will focus on Immediate Loading Protocols and how full arch can be planned and executed for both FP1 and FP3 rerstorations.

  1. Learn about different digital workflows that can assist in immediate load cases
  2. Learn critical aspects of treatment planning that will improve outcomes
  3. Understand the benefits of guided surgery and when free handed surgery may be necessary
  4. See how the use of Photogrammetry can simplify full arch restorations
  5. See how most cases can be completed 'in-house' using 3-D printing
