Course Description:
This presentation will focus on the most common implant complications. Avoiding complications through proper diagnosis and treatment planning will be reviewed. The use of CBCT is a useful technology to help clinicians evaluate osseous morphology as well as prosthetic limitations. Even with the best laid plans complications can occur. The lecture will cover complications such as implant failure, bone graft failure, esthetic compromises, nerve injuries, peri-implantitis and prosthetic problems. Mediolegal implications will also be addressed.

• To emphasize the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment planning to avoid implant complications.
• To discuss the most common implant complications and there management.
• To address potential medicolegal implications of implant complications
