Live Well is Resurrection's Emotional Wellness Ministry. This 8-week session is designed to educate participants about depression and anxiety while giving simple steps to relieve symptoms. There is no cost for this program. We believe that if we can get the science right, we can get the care right. Live Well offers a variety of support and educational groups for those struggling with depression and anxiety, as well as groups for their family members. Group sizes are limited and classes are closed following the second week. In past sessions, roughly 90% of the people who attended these classes that combine biology and spirituality have experienced a noticeable improvement in their symptoms.
A free dinner is served in the Foundry from 5:30-6:30 pm for Live Well participants and those attending other classes as part of Care Night. You are invited to come enjoy fellowship before each class.
If you have a high school student dealing with depression and/or anxiety or you have questions about Live Well, please contact Ashly Cooley at 913-232-4141 or e-mail her at email@example.com.
These classes are designed for adults 18 years (graduated high school) or older struggling with chronic depression or anxiety. They are not a substitute for professional therapy, psychiatric care or crisis management. These classes may not be suitable for those struggling with additional disorders or for those who do not function well in a group environment.
