It takes 220 volunteers to serve communion in our sanctuary, so every single person who volunteers makes an impact!
Join us to serve communion any (or every) weekend between February 29 and April 5. Thank you!

Who can serve Communion?
Anyone can! You do not need to be a member of Church of the Resurrection to serve. Children 12 and younger may serve alongside their parents or another adult.
What do I say when I serve Communion?
How often do I serve?
At our Leawood Campus, we typically serve Communion once per month. However, we will be serving it every week during the season of Lent in 2020 -- every weekend between February 29 and April 5.
What time should I arrive at church?
Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of worship and check in to let us know you are here. If we don't know you are here, we may assign your section to someone else.
Where do I serve Communion?
When you check in you will receive a card with a map showing you exactly where to go. During the service, the pastor will call the servers to their stations. Please stand to the side of the station so that guests first pass by the stand with the offering plate. This allows them to empty their hands of any offerings before receiving Communion.
What do I do with the Communion elements after the service?
Brief instructions are provided on the card you receive at check-in, and they vary slightly by service.
