Friday, September 8, 2017

8:30 AM - 10:00 AM

Center for Teaching Excellence
Thomas Cooper Library, Room L511

Details

What faculty members do through research, teaching, service and outreach matters. It impacts the world, and by sharing your expertise and ideas with news media, you have the opportunity to advance public knowledge and spur connections and collaborations in exciting ways.

The university’s Office of Communications and Public Affairs offers various levels of media training. Led by Jeff Stensland, this session will provide new faculty with limited or no prior media experience, an understanding of today’s changing media landscape, what stories interest news media the most, best practices for working with reporters and tips for successful news interviews.
