This program is designed to help participants better understand conflict and identify conflict resolution styles. Participants will take the Style Matters conflict style assessment and learn how to recognize conflict strategies in themselves and others. They will learn their preferred conflict resolution styles and the inherent strengths and weaknesses of each approach. In addition, participants will learn when various conflict resolution styles are most appropriate to use and strategies for employing multiple styles.

Who Should Attend
University Faculty and Staff. This course if part of the Effective Communications Certificate Program.

Registration Instructions



Employees should cancel their registration if they are unable to attend. Participants leaving early, during LEAD or any certificate courses, will not receive credit for attending. If there is an emergency, please notify the instructor.

Perfumes and Cologne and Other Items with Fragrances

Attendees are asked to refrain from using, wearing, or bringing scented products and materials to training classes. Personal care products such as cologne, perfume, aftershave lotions, scented lotions, and fragranced hair products may cause headaches, upper respiratory symptoms, shortness of breath, and difficulty with concentration in persons with asthma or allergies.

Service and Therapy Animals
