10 Practical Approaches to Fostering Inclusion in the Classroom

An inclusive classroom is one that promotes diversity of thought and perspective based on students’ background, experiences and individual differences. In this interactive workshop, Moryah Jackson will lead a discussion on the importance of inclusivity in the classroom, share ten practical approaches that will help foster an inclusive classroom and provide resources for additional guidance.

Moryah Jackson is the Assistant Director of Community Engagement.  Her specialty areas include social and economic development, civic engagement and leadership development theory.  She has coordinated community engagement at several institutions and most recently launched a public-private statewide education initiative.  Moryah was featured in Sir Ken Robinson's book "Creative Schools" for her community engaged leadership.
