As a supervisor, do you know your responsibilities when an employee misses work due to an illness or workplace injury? Do you know what to do when an employee needs workplace accommodation? Supervisors play a critical role when an employee is injured on the job. Participants will gain understanding on the following topics:

• Understanding Leave Policies and Laws - Annual and Sick Leave policies and how it coincides with FMLA leave, sick leave advancement guidelines, and leave transfer programs
• Navigating a Reported Injury - What to do when an employee is injured on the job and an overview of the Workers Compensation program and claims process
• Safety in the Workplace - During this training we will provide introductory information about OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). Rights and responsibilities of the employer/employee under OSHA. OSHA injury reporting requirements, as well as the role of the supervisor in this process. Participants will also receive information where to go for assistance if they have a safety concern in the workplace
• Overview of ADA and Workplace Accommodations
