This half-day event is designed for USC's administrative professionals. Take charge of your personal and professional development and learn how to achieve better success in your career.

 

Work S.M.A.R.T., Not H.A.R.D.

As an administrative professional, there is definitely no lack of work to be done. Juggling multiple priorities is required. How do you deal with supervisors, colleagues, internal and external customers, family, social obligations and remain effective? How do you navigate the 'New Normal' and not feel like you are a hamster on a treadmill? Learn tried and tested tips to work S.M.A.R.T., not H.A.R.D., for improved time management.

 

Living in a New Way: Leveraging Changes to Amplify Your Life

Attendees will learn how to process changes that occur in life and how to use those changes as leverage for personal and professional gain. From global to work to home fluctuations that occur on a daily basis, we need a way to manage, assimilate, and grow from what is going on around us. Adaptation is required; ascension is desired. Presenting

Georgette Council, CEOE I Speaker & Trainer

Georgette Council is an Executive Assistant for one of the largest school districts in the Columbia area. She is a published author and has resided in Columbia, South Carolina for 28 years, has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and has been an Administrative Professional for almost 40 years. She currently serves as an American Heart Association EmPOWERED to Serve Ambassador, a member of the Columbia Urban League Guild, a member of the United Way's Women in Philanthropy and attends and serves at Journey United Methodist Church. In addition to serving as a past president for both the Richland County Association of Education Office Professionals (RCAEOP), and the South Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals (SCAEOP), she has also served as Administrative Council Chairman, Mid-Atlantic Area Director and Southeast Area Director for the National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP). She holds the distinction of Certified Educational Office Employee (CEOE) and prides herself on being a lifelong learner. She also runs a motivational speaking and coaching business - The Speaking Council and co-produces a podcast with her daughter called M.A.D.E. - Mother and Daughter Empowerment.

 

 

Paulette Cunningham, M.Ed. I Founder & President of Phenomenal Communications

Paulette Cunningham is a master trainer, speaker, coach and consultant who is fluent in the science of motivating individuals to their next level of performance. Her one-of-a-kind workshops engage participants throughout, her clear and authentic presentations resonate with audiences universal, and her unique coaching style connects with clients to engender the breakthroughs desired. Paulette Cunningham was born and raised in Eastover, South Carolina and holds a BBA from Howard University and M.Ed. from Lesley University.

 

 

 

 

 


Registration Instructions


This half-day conference is designed for USC's administrative professionals. Registration is $75 per person, includes continental breakfast, instruction and buffet lunch. Supervisory approval is required.

 

**Cancellations must be received 48 hours (2-business days) prior to the event or departments will be charged the full conference fee**
