As students, researchers, and scholars, we interact with copyrighted material on a daily basis, but it is not always clear whether it is fair to copy or reuse someone else's work or how to both share and protect our own work. This session will give you a brief overview of copyright law, with an emphasis on the doctrine of fair use, which is a key part of our use of copyright works for purposes of education, research, and scholarship.
