Conflict is inevitable but it doesn't have to be painful. How conflict is managed determines whether it is helpful or unhelpful. In this workshop, participants will take the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument self-assessment and receive a customized report about their typical behavior in conflict situations. Using their results as a guide, participants will explore why we engage in conflict, the different ways one can approach conflict, and how to effectively utilize the different conflict-handling modes depending on the situation.

There is a fee of $35 for the self assessment. You will be asked for your speed type at the time of registration.

* For those individuals who wish to attend this course but have departmental budgetary constraints that would prohibit participation at this time, you may be eligible for financial assistance. Please contact Michelle Lampton, Assistant Director of the Professional Development Center, at michelle.lampton@case.edu for more information.
