BEGINNING DISCIPLES track
a pre-requisite for Growing Disciples
In our Beginning Disciples track, children will strengthen their friendship with Jesus, learn to pray, read Scripture, and grow in virtue as they prepare to receive their First Reconciliation in the Spring.
This year, we will use a new digital-based curriculum to ensure quality formation across both our in-person and at-home programs.
Our at-home model allows families the flexibility of their child completing assignments at any time during the week from the comfort of their home.
Our in-person classes are full at this time and we are unable to accept any new registrations. Thank you for your understanding.
Registration open through 1/30/2021 9:59 PM Mountain Time (US & Canada)
Please login or create account prior to registering through the
Listing of Events page, found on the upper right hand corner - THANKS!
Our program began September 21st. If you register after this date please e-mail Lupe at firstname.lastname@example.org in order to pick up material and have access to the online resources.
Family Nights - Parents are asked to participate in their child's faith journey in a special way. During these sessions, families will have an opportunity to explore the faith together through activities and lessons.
All Sacramental prep families (whether doing the in-person or at-home model) are asked to complete these classes or it may consist of in-person events periodically throughout the year. Alternative and online family nights will be offered. If you are not comfortable attending in-person events, please speak with Lupe to make alternative arrangements ahead of time.
Reconciliation Day Retreat
Students and at least one parent will be asked to attend a day retreat in the Spring focused on the Sacrament of Reconciliation. If you are unable or not comfortable attending in-person please speak with Lupe to make alternative arrangements ahead of time. While we are happy to offer alternative means of preparation, please note that, per canon law, the Sacrament itself cannot be done remotely or digitally.
Registration is $75* for Immaculate Heart of Mary families
Registration is $125* for families from another Parish
*A $10 late fee will be assessed to each participant who is registered after Sept 15th due to increased administrative needs
If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact Rachel Padilla at email@example.com - We never want financial need to stand in the way of students participating in our programs!
It would be a blessing to help your child receive the grace of the Sacraments, however, if you are from another parish please consider attending your own parish for Sacramental Prep.
