About This Class

This self-guided online newborn care class class is a good choice for parents who prefer to learn on their own. You'll move through this eight-chapter online program at your own pace - it takes about 5 hours to complete. You'll read, watch instructional videos, and engage in computer activities to learn about caring for a newborn.

The eClass helps families:

  • Know what to expect in first days and weeks with your new baby
  • Recognize when your baby is ready to eat, play, sleep, or is over stimulated and needs to be left alone
  • Prepare for how your baby might look at birth and soon after
  • Develop strategies to use to soothe your crying baby
  • Learn how to change diapers and bathe your baby
  • Understand the basics of newborn health
  • Know what steps to take to keep babies safe

Class Details
  • This is a self-guided, online class. You do not have an instructor for this class.
  • The class takes about 5 hours to complete.
  • You will receive an e-mail with a code and instructions to access the online class within 10 minutes of registering.
  • You will have access to the class for nine months from the date of your first login.
  • This class is non-refundable once purchased.
