ITL | Institute for Teaching and Learning

The Institute for Teaching and Learning (ITL) is the premier onsite program for full- and part-time health professions educators, and private practitioners embarking on a new career in academia.

The ITL is a 4-day, onsite program, now available at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), that imparts the skills of a master educator with the benefit of an enhanced post-program experience. In addition to learning from award-winning ITL instructors, participants will network with dozens of U.S. and international colleagues.

The onsite program takes place in Houston from August 27th to 30th, and the optional distance learning opportunities begin in September and run for 6 months.
