As a general practitioner, it is important to know the common lesions (soft, firm, or bony; localized or generalized; and sessile or pedunculated lumps or bumps) occurring in different areas in the mouth, to have a differential diagnosis, and to know management options. Actual case presentations and management issues will be discussed.

About Our Speaker


Nagamani Narayana, DMD, MShas been an associate professor in Oral Pathology at UNMC, College of Dentistry from 2003. In addition to her training in India, she is dually trained in Oral Medicine and Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from UMKC, School of Dentistry, Kansas City and New York Hospital, Queens. She earned a DMD from Temple University School of Dentistry. She is also a diplomate of American Academy of Oral Medicine and American Academy of Oral Pathology. Dr. Narayana currently teaches Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine at the school. in addition, she sees patients in the University Dental Associates and is the Director of the Oral Biopsy Service of the UNMC College of Dentistry.
