This is a streamlined ACLS course, approved by the American Heart Association, which focuses on treatment of the first ten minutes of an acute lethal episode covering the 2010 AHA guidelines.
The goal of this course is to help dentists identify that the patient has a bradycardia and is sick because of it, a tachycardia and is sick because of it, or a non-profusing rhythm and what to do. For patients experiencing a tachycardia or a bradycardia but do not show signs and symptoms the AHA advocates obtaining and expert consult. With this in mind, we discuss that the practitioner should recognize the situation and continue to observe the patient closely until the ambulance arrives. The course also discusses respiratory emergencies, stroke, and heart attack victims.
The first part of this class will be didactic in nature, with the rest of the time spent with hands-on practice and testing.
This program includes study materials which will be sent in advance of the course.
Please note: there is no discount offered on this program.
