We are excited to host the 18th Annual AABE-Cincinnati Chapter Scholarship Golf Outing. We are also happy to add a host partner, Duke Energy's Advocates for African Americans.
Our AABE Scholarship Program focuses on increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in energy related fields by helping local students meet their financial obligations for higher education. Your participation and sponsorship of the Golf Outing make a difference in helping our youth realize their dreams. We are excited to continue our tradition of championing a successful next generation and happy to welcome A3 as a partner in our efforts.
Know that the American Association of Blacks in Energy is your partner in furthering energy topics and helping to create a talented workforce pipeline. Your support of the Scholarship Golf Outing is greatly appreciated.
Gary Williams, Event Chair
The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies, regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues.
The Cincinnati Chapter was founded in 1997 by 14 dedicated leaders. The Chapter has built a strong tradition of positively supporting the next generation by mentoring the youth; awarding scholarships to college bound students; and promoting young professionals within the energy industry. Members are with companies including (but not limited to) Duke Energy, Public Utility Commission of Ohio and the U.S. Government Department of Energy.
Duke Energy's Advocates for African Americans (A3) is an employee run organization dedicated to attracting diverse talent to Duke Energy, professional development, education, cultural awareness building within its membership and fellow employees, and supporting the advancement of our community.
Although the name has changed since its inception in 1995, A3 has been a willing partner with the community for more than 20 years. We lead and partner with organizations to tutor, mentor, and promote the Arts in Greater Cincinnati. A3 is partnering with AABE to bring awareness and to support the efforts of providing scholarships to graduating seniors, for which both organizations award annually.
