Details

Piggy-backing off of last year's PD event focused on the IDEA and IEPs for administrators, this event focuses on the IEP specifically and building capacity in such a way as to avoid pitfalls and

IEP DO's and DON'Ts.

As with last year's training (which was requested by many of you as a full day endeavor for future trainings), this full-day event will review previously addressed IDEA-B requirements and will continue to support your own capacity-building as it relates to planning and conducting compliant IEP meetings and your essential role as a supportive school site administrator.

You will benefit from the expertise of Elena Gallegos, Esq. as part of our new and ongoing professional relationship with the Walsh-Gallegos Law Firm when she joins our conversations for a short afternoon session on her perspective of 'IEP Dos and Don'ts'.

The day will include hands-on practice utilizing your new and updated Side-by-Side Handbook of SE Procedures, which was created by Walsh-Gallegos, personalized to your district's specifications by the NEREC and recently approved by your local School Boards.
