Course Information

***Attendance at Orientation on March 11, 2019 at 1830 is Mandatory***



On Saturday March 16th. there will be a Mandatory CPR Class for all students (you must attend even if you have a current CPR Card). If you do not have a CPR card, there will be a $40.00 charge. Having a valid CPR card during the class is a state requirement.



Further information will be provided in your Registration Package which will be emailed to you, along with a discount code for the text book.



IF A STUDENT DOES NOT ATTEND ORIENTATION THEY WILL NOT BE ENROLLED INTO THE EMT CLASS AND AN ALTERNATE FROM THE WAIT LIST WILL TAKE THEIR PLACE

Details

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course is intended to prepare the student for an entry-level position in emergency medical services at the basic provider level. The program is intensive and addresses human anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and a wide variety of medical conditions as well as how to medically manage an individual suffering from a medical or traumatic event. The course material is presented through lectures, skill labs, written and practical evaluation sessions, self-study, and actual clinical observation. Upon successful completion of the course, the student is eligible for the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services written certification examination.
