Kernochan Center Symposium 'Exploring International Copyright's Gaps and Flexibilities'

The Symposium will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM in Room JGH 103 of Jerome Greene Hall. Jerome Greene Hall is located at 435 West 116th Street, on the northeast corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 116th Street. Reading materials will be available on the Kernochan Center website in the days prior to the event. Please note that all rates are 'per person' and, as flat fees, cannot be prorated according to attendance. Reduced rates are available for attorneys and persons who are serving in public interest organizations (including government, academic, and non- and not-for profit organizations) or are experiencing financial hardship.

Pre-registration is required:

Professional/Private Practice: $60

Public Interest/Nonprofit/Academia/Government: $35

Columbia University Students, Faculty and Staff are Free but Must Register

Please note: Columbia Law School cannot issue refunds for this event, but registration is transferable. Please email Deputy Director Pippa Loengard ( if you wish to transfer your registration to someone else.

Columbia Law School has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Board as an Accredited Provider of CLE programs. Under New York State CLE regulations, this live transitional and non-transitional CLE Program will provide 7 credit hours that can be applied toward the Areas of Professional Practice requirement. CLE credit is awarded only to New York attorneys for full attendance of the Program in its entirety. Attorneys attending only part of a Program are not eligible for partial credit for it, although they are most welcome to attend it. Attendance is determined by an attorney's sign-in and sign-out, as shown in the Conference registers. On sign-out, attorneys should also submit their completed Evaluation Form, provided at the Conference. Please note the NYS Certificates of Attendance will be sent to the email address as it appears in the register unless otherwise noted there.

Hardship Scholarship:
A limited number of financial hardship scholarships will be available on a case-by-case basis to interested attorneys and persons in need. Scholarship applications should detail in a few sentences the basis of the applicant's need and the background to his or her interest. Applications should be directed to Pippa Loengard, Deputy Director of the Kernochan Center, no later than September 29, 2017. Please do not register here until you have heard whether your application has been approved. All applications will receive a response.
