Coaching in the Early Childhood Environment for Students with Autism

In this session, we will learn a handful of approaches that will allow educational/instructional coaches to prepare to assist Early Childhood teachers and staff to best support a child with Autism in the classroom setting. We will focus on how to support a teacher in building structured learning environments, various communication systems and strategies in addressing challenging behavior through the use of Evidence Based Practices. Participants will receive a quick sheet of visual strategies to reference back to what we have learned, that can be placed in the classroom as a reference for all staff members.
