Presentation Description: This educational presentation will highlight assistive technology devices that can be used by individuals with disabilities who are entering the workforce. Participants will gain knowledge on how assistive technology can be applied at the home to help prepare for the workday, while also looking at devices that can be used on the job. Devices demonstrated will include everything from apps to software that can assist with computer use. The presentation will also allow individuals the opportunity to actually try out the technology so they can see the applicability for themselves. By the end of this presentation, participants will have a better understanding of what types of assistive technology are out there and how they can be used to create employment independence.
