Science-based CDC recommendations and OSHA regulations, as well as recommendations from dental organizations, will be discussed to support recent infection control updates and modifications. The COVID-19 pandemic caused a review of PPE and other equipment that were used in dental settings before the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 respiratory pathogen.
