CBCT is revolutionizing our ability to optimally diagnosis and treat our patients. This course will provide an overview of CBCT Technology so that you can confidently decide when and how to leverage the benefits of Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) to meet the individual needs of your practice

We will discuss the indications for taking a CBCT, the advantages and limitations of CBCT relative to conventional imaging, and review the basics of systematic interpretation and cross-sectional head and neck anatomy so that you are better equipped to differentiate normal anatomy from abnormal pathosis. Additionally, we will consider when and how to involve an Oral and Maxillofacial radiologist, briefly review the basics of CBCT technology, and, for those interested in purchasing a CBCT, how to select the best machine for your practice.

In the hands-on portion of the course clinicians will have an opportunity to navigate cases using CBCT viewing software.
