This hands on course will have a primary focus on more advanced procedures for immediate maxillary and mandibular molar implants, immediate maxillary anterior implant placement, along with immediate abutment and temporary fabrication, and advanced soft tissue procedures for both pre-prosthetics and implants. Upon completion of the workshop, attendees will understand new techniques and instruments for extraction and immediate implant placement with preservation of hard and soft tissue.

This workshop is designed for dentists who are interested in more hands-on training on how to place immediate implants


You Will Learn:

  • Atraumatic extraction of Mandibular first molar with immediate wide diameter implant placement and socket bone graft.
  • Atraumatic extraction of the Maxillary first molar, trans-alveolar sinus lift with osteotomes, immediate wide diameter implant placement and socket bone graft.
  • Atraumatic extraction of Maxillary central incisor (horizontal/ankylosed root fracture), immediate implant placement, socket graft and fabrication of an immediate custom provisional abutment and temporary tooth.
  • Soft tissue surgical uncovering of an implant with a 'double Z-plasty' procedure to recreate the interdental papilla.
  • Coverage of pre and post op protocols, complications, and procedures.

Ron Morris, DDS is an Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon, who has been in private practice for 34 years, along with teaching human anatomy at the University of Detroit Mercy since 1978. Dr Morris has lectured internationally and nationally on human anatomy, local anesthesia, bone grafting, implants, and auto tooth transplantation.
