ICS Combo Course (100/200/700)

Primary Core Capability: Operational Coordination

The goals of this course are for the students to be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS), be prepared to coordinate with response partners from all levels of government and the private sector and demonstrate overall incident management skills.

Note: Students will be required to successfully complete four online exams in class in order to receive credit for each of the courses covered.

ICS-100:

• Become familiar with:

  • ICS Organizational Principles and Elements
  • Positions and Responsibilities
  • Facilities and Functions
  • Planning

ICS-200:

• Describe the Incident Command System (ICS) organization appropriate to the complexity of the incident or event.
• Use ICS to manage an incident or event.

IS-700:

• Describe:
  • The intent of NIMS
  • The key concepts and principles underlying NIMS
  • The purpose of NIMS Components
  • The purpose of the National Integration Center (NIC)

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Individuals who seek a classroom learning environment for improving knowledge on the core NIMS related courses rather than completing the training via Independent Study.
