The annual Integrated Preparedness Planning Workshop (IPPW) provides the opportunity to review jurisdiction's or agency's core capability gaps and provides the information needed to create and update our multi-year plan to address those gaps.

We encourage all jurisdictions and agencies to participate in this workshop, as it provides an opportunity to discuss and hold a conversation on preparedness activities and goals. This workshop is designed as a collaboration forum to maximize local, state, tribal, and federal resources and focus in the emergency management preparedness activities.

Integrated Preparedness Planning (IPP) follows the preparedness cycle and helps organize emergency management activities for the next several years.

This process helps the state and local jurisdictions prioritize resources and activities designed to support and close core capability gaps. Activities identified through the Integrated Preparedness Planning Workshop (IPPW) and Stakeholder Preparedness Review (SPR) will be given priority as they have been identified to close known gaps.

The Integrated Preparedness process follows several key steps:

1. Stakeholder Preparedness Review (SPR)
2. Integrated Preparedness Planning Workshop (IPPW) Pre-Worksheets
   • Worksheets are generated off of the SPR data and allow the jurisdictions to prioritize and identify activities to close capability gaps
3. Integrated Preparedness Planning Workshop (IPPW) Workshops
   
   • Allows the jurisdiction to deconflict activities and identify support requirements
4. Integrated Preparedness Plan (IPP) Data Preparation and Review
   • The activities identified during the workshops are reviewed, validated, and identified as supported if possible
5. Integrated Preparedness Plan (IPP) Draft Stakeholder Review
   • Review period for local jurisdictions to review and provide feedback on the plan
6. Integrated Preparedness Planning Workshop (IPPW) Capstone Meeting
   • Meeting to review the updated draft and discuss state supported activities for the IPP
7. Integrated Preparedness Plan (IPP) Promulgation
   • IPP is finalized and released publicly
8. Integrated Preparedness Plan (IPP) Activities Conducted
   • Activities identified in the plan are supported and conducted

At the IPPW, stakeholders identify preparedness activities that will assist the jurisdiction or agency in closing gaps and addressing the priorities identified as well as identify target capabilities to focus on for each fiscal year.

The outcome of the IPPW is the Integrated Preparedness Plan which lays out preparedness activities throughout the region.
