Learn about Washington D.C., its historic sites and culture by touring the city. Concrete- You will be exploring urban Washington D.C. Safari- You and your student group will use clues to discover the historic and urban treasures of the city. Students will experience the city as a student group and combine photo journalism with the historic sites of Washington D.C. The course includes an outside assignment and research. The final project for the course is a travel guide of the sites you visited with your personal photos and interesting facts gained through your self guided tour. This course takes place outside, involves walking and using public transportation . Successful completion of the course requirements will earn the student 20 hours or 2 CEU’s. Course dates November 18 and 19.
