Creative Letterpress Projects
Instructor: Sarah Hulsey
Monday - Friday 9am – 4pm | June 6 - 10

Do you admire the style of old letterpress posters? Are you drawn to the “bite” of the type in letterpress cards? Want to get off of the screen and design pages by hand? Come work with Montserrat’s collections of wood and metal type and printers cuts, as well as a range of presses from the 1890’s to the 1950’s. This intensive course is great for beginners or those looking for a refresher. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate on a broadside, then design and print their own project over the course of the week.

Prerequisite: none required

*this course may be taken for 1.5 credits; additional fees, pre-requisites, and requirements apply. Please contact the Continuing Education Office first to confirm eligibility before registering for credit. Montserrat Students should register via campus cafe.
