Video Boot Camp
Video is the most compelling way to tell a story, sell a product, and educate the world. It has become an integral part of every industry. It is estimated that video will be 80% of global Internet traffic by 2018. The time to learn critical video skills is now.
Video Boot Camp is a program designed for non-professionals with an interest in learning to make videos that surprise, entertain and educate.
The program is comprised of a comprehensive set of fun, hands-on training exercises that will transform your understanding of video production.
You will complete specific tasks that are carefully designed to teach you the skills you need to produce high quality videos. By the end of the course you will have a clear understanding of the fundamental techniques of video production for use in everything from commercials, to weddings, to family videos.

Prerequisite: Previous experience is not required. Students must bring their own digital video camera (phones included). Editing stations are provided. No camera? Contact Erich to arrange a rental.
Price: $200, non–credit
Erich Archer is an Emmy-winning television producer with 14 years of professional experience in New York City, Los Angeles, and Boston.
He has produced video content for major networks and corporations including MTV, ESPN and The Boston Red Sox. A recipient of numerous awards including 7 Tellys, Archer's work can also be seen on permanent display at the Cape Ann Museum. Erich is currently the Executive Director of Cape Ann Television and serves on the Board of Directors of Mass Access and the Northeast Region Alliance for Community Media.
