Course Description

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult/Pediatric CPR/AED valid for two years. Approved by NCDCDEE 4 hours training.

Mandy Mills is the Child Care Health Consultant for Southwestern’s CCR&R and covers Clay, Graham, and Cherokee Counties funded by Region A Partnership for Children. She has worked in early childhood education since 1995, in several different capacities.  Her experience includes being a Lead Teacher for children age birth to five, a Center Director, School Age School Specialist, and Quality Enhancement for CCR&R. In these roles, Mandy has had extensive training in adult learning, environmental rating scales, social/emotional, inclusion, SHAPE NC, and outdoor learning environments.  She holds a Level 11 NC Early Education Certification with Professional Development and Technical Assistant Endorsement from the NC Institute for Child Development Professionals. She is looking forward to working with child care centers in Clay, Graham, and Cherokee Counties in the Child Care Consultant Role.
