What are the most important aspects of transporting children? Transporting children is one of the most dangerous jobs in early education. Any facility that transports children should be aware of recommended practices and policies for safe, developmentally appropriate transport of young children to and from child care centers and/or field trips, recommended vehicle types and maintenance routines; driver qualities and qualifications, child passenger restraint systems; operating procedures and practices and how to identify dangerous driving conditions. After attending this learning event, participants will be able to: state the driver qualifications and qualities, identify safety precautions and, respond to scenarios to meet the individual needs of the children.
Participants attending this learning event must attend the online learning session, respond to interactive questions and discussions, view videos, and complete a post-knowledge assessment (multiple attempts allowed) with a passing score of 90% or higher.
The instructor has no proprietary interest in this learning event's design, development, or marketing.

A bit about Karen Darby Karen is originally from a small town in northern West Virginia, she has 1 sister who currently lives in Orlando, Florida. She is however, afraid of heights. In her spare time, Karen teaches an adult swimming class for the City of Shelby, she is a certified Aqua Fitness Instructor and certified Lifeguard and certified as a CPR/First Aid/AED instructor.
