The session provides the latest and most current information regarding ESSA and an overview of the current fiscal landscape.
Part I provides an overview of the current ESSA Plan related to accountability, system of support, and school report card requirements will be presented. While there are still many elements that remain unknown, this session will provide critical information to help you prepare for ESSA implementation. Part II provides the fiscal landscape as it relates to Evidence-Based Funding, Site-Based Expenditures and Supplement Not Supplant within Title I. Attendees will be prompted to think about how these concepts apply to their unique circumstances.
Presented by Melina Wright, a former ISBE employee who was critical in the development of the ESSA State Plan, who is now with the Suburban Cook ISCs, provides complex information in an understandable manner.
