Are you looking for ways to move your classroom practice forward? If so, we invite you to deepen your understanding of how to teach and reach gifted and talented students by attending the Gifted Education Seminar this summer! Make plans now to join us on June 4 for the 3 hour GES Introductory Meeting. During this meeting, you will receive the course materials which includes two books, Achieving Excellence Educating the Gifted and Talented by Frances A. Karnes and Kristen R. Stephens and Differentiation: Simplified, Realistic, and Effective by Bertie Kingore and a flash drive with the course content. A syllabus will be provided, and you will be shown the “nuts and bolts” of completing the course.
Participants must be able to use a computer with ease, know how to access and work with a flash drive, save documents, and email documents as attachments. The GES flash drive does NOT work on the Mac Lion OSIX or newer Operating Systems. Use of a PC or older Mac is mandatory.
The time commitment for this seminar is 45 hours. This class is to be completed at your convenience, within the designated time frame of June 4 to August 6, 2020.
