Dr. Robert Daiber, Regional Superintendent and the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities are co-sponsors of this Conversation Toward a Brighter Future event featuring former African American NASA astronaut Leland Melvin.

Mr. Melvin has a compelling life story. Mr. Melvin will speak on the importance of not shying away from math and science (STEM), staying focused, staying true to your dreams, and never giving up. This presentation will be in the context of STEM education. You can view Melvin’s YouTube video at
