Are you currently considering a 1:1 program or are you part of a 1:1 program that hasn't quite taken off? Let's brainstorm ways to get the best program setup from start to finish. In this workshop, we'll first take a deep dive into Google Apps for Education's Admin Console, focusing heavily on setup for a 1:1 Chromebook program. Next, we'll move to the planning, setup, and implementation phase of a new or growing program. Returning to the Admin ?Console, we'll focus on Chromebook Management and the dozens of individual settings and functions that make user and device management so simple, yet robust. Lastly, we'll review some out of the box uses of Chromebooks, discuss next-generation devices and Android applications, and close with how to best support a growing 1:1 program, including how to start a student-centered tech support center supported by volunteers and/or students in a credit-earning class.
