Teachers will have the opportunity to experience various HANDS-ON STEAM activities that can help students apply mathematical concept to science, technology, engineering, and art:
Flag Math, Constructing Domes, Building with Blocks, product Design and Gumball Math
Tree Math, Catapulting Pumpkins Bungee Jumping Ken, Growing Creatures, Zipline Challenge.,
Remote Controlled Cars and Drones, Body Math, Motion Detector, and other resources.
Time will be given to teachers in the afternoon to share, discuss, and plan their own ideas, activities lessons that engage students in mathematical connections to science, technology, engineering, and art (STEAM). Teachers are encouraged to bring handouts or pictures of their own activities to share with participating teachers.
