Getting Started with Adobe InDesign

Adobe InDesign is part of the Adobe Creative Suite. Its primary function is layout and publication design. If you want a newsletter or printed flyer, InDesign can help you to do that. Adobe InDesign is a complex program, and in this session, we will begin to explore its use by creating a professional looking brochure that can be printed or shared digitally. This session will incorporate instructor-led demonstration and hands-on guided practice with files supplied by the instructor.



Session Outcomes

At the completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:


  • Create flyers and posters

  • Place images

  • Format text

  • Export, Print or Publish

Target Audience

Anyone new to Adobe InDesign

Design a trifold brochure. You'll learn how to:


  • Create a new document

  • Layout a 3-column workspace

  • Place images and text boxes

  • Align elements

  • Explore print settings

  • Export and publishing your brochure
