Tuesdays 5:15 - 6pm
This will be a yoga practice to rest and receive. Through just a few supported poses with longer holds, this practice allows the recovery of the muscles and balances and calms the nervous system. Within our hectic days and lives, restorative yoga invites you to slow it down and rejuvenate yourself. This practice ACCESSIBLE to ALL and also so beneficial to those who run, bike and push themselves hard. It's the YIN of the Yang in life! Join Mary Howell (E-RYT500) to release the body and mind and rejuvenate the spirit.
Yoga mat, blocks and yoga strap (a bathrobe belt could be used) recommended, and two firm blankets or towels.
You must agree to the fitness waiver below to participate in this class (you will be asked to sign off on the waiver during registration).

In consideration of my participation in the virtual fitness classes offered through Wellness at Dartmouth, I agree; 1) to adhere to applicable rules, regulations and policies of Dartmouth; 2) to exercise reasonable care and good judgment in participating in the program; and 3) that I am physically able to participate in the virtual fitness class and know of no medical reason which would prevent my participation in this program.
I acknowledge that fitness activities have inherent risk of injury (sprains, strains, fractures, cognitive impairment, even death) and as a participant I assume all risk of injury. Dartmouth, its agents and employees are not responsible for injuries sustained during my participation in the virtual fitness classes offered through Wellness at Dartmouth. Dartmouth, its agents and employees are not responsible for injuries sustained during my participation in this program.
I assume the risk of all injury and property loss as a result of my participation in the virtual fitness classes offered by Wellness at Dartmouth, and do hereby RELEASE the Trustees of Dartmouth College, its agents and employees, on behalf of myself, my executors and assigns, from any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to my participation in this virtual fitness class offered by Dartmouth College.

Mary Howell is a RYT500hr. Having practiced yoga for 20 years, she became a teacher and then trainer of teachers under the studentship of Todd Norian in hatha yoga, Ashaya yoga. She has been an instructor (aerobic and yoga) at FLIP starting in 1989, and teaches yoga at The Yoga Room, Nantucket during the summer and from her hOMe since March 2020.
