About your Presenter

Richard Klein, DDS, exclusively treats OSA and TMD. He does not have a dental drill or hygienist because he has not practiced routine dentistry for over 20 years. He has been teaching pain management and OSA to St. John Residents at lunch lectures for 15 years. He has Diplomat status in OSA from both the American Sleep and Breathing Academy and the American Academy of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine. His TMD status includes Diplomat in both the AACP and the AAPM with Mastership in ICCMO, AACP and Fellowship in the Royal Society of Health (England). He is a clinical instructor at MSU Osteopathic Medical School. He has authored chapters on TMD in textbooks and published in peer-reviewed journals. He has lectured in 14 different countries and numerous states in the United States on sleep apnea or TMD. He is on the Board of Directors of the DMan Foundation, a charitable organization for paraplegics. He recently conducted a 4 hour OSA presentation for all health care providers at St. John Macomb Hospital and also twice to the MSU Osteopathic Medical Annual Clinical Symposium.

John Gifford CBPM, LMT, BCTMB -has operated the largest private practice in the country dedicated to Bonnie Prudden Myotherapy®, sports trigger point massage, and advanced bodywork therapies for 30 years. He has performed over 40,000 sessions of hands-on care at his company Motionwise®, authored several books and related materials, and is a professional speaker on self care pain relief strategies. Additionally, through his continuing education programs he has taught thousands of dental professionals how to prevent and reduce the pain and tension associated with working in the dental industry. His mission is strive to empower people to exert a greater level of impact towards the reduction of their muscular tightness and tension. He gives back to the community through Mr. Gifford's Story Sandwich and he has visited over one thousand classrooms providing theatrical reading to inspire literacy.
