This course offers an intensive multi-part series for educators to begin deepening their understanding and use of effective classroom assessments for both in-person and remote teaching. We will focus heavily on the formative assessment cycle and its role in supporting student agency in their learning. Participants will learn how to use classroom assessment not only to gather accurate information about student learning but to also improve student engagement, motivation and achievement and create classrooms and schools that are truly learning- and student-centered.
New members to Assessment Literacy Network are expected to complete the full series which will include participating in LIVE meetings (recordings available) as well as completing accompanying reading and work. For more information please view this semi-brief (14 min) video overview.
