Overview:
In 2017, the ADA released a Proposed Policy Statement on the Role of Dentistry in Treatment of Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders. They recommended that dentists are encouraged to screen patients for SRBD as part of a comprehensive medical and dental history. Are you screening your patients for SRBD?
This program will discuss the basics of Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders and how you can start to effectively screen your patients in your practice. There will be a brief overview of treatment options.

Bio:
Dr. Tucker has maintained a private practice in Erie, Pennsylvania since 1982. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tucker has a special interest in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and has been actively treating patients in the Tri-State Erie area for the past 10 years. Dr. Tucker is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Since he began actively educating other dentists 7 years ago, he has become one of the most sought after speakers on Dental Sleep Medicine. His unique teaching style of relating his successes and failures helps his students understand that implementation will have its issues, and success requires passion and commitment.
