Please join HCET for this timely webinar on Title X to learn about the federal family planning program’s structure, guidelines, and regulations. Participants will be guided through several ways in which federal congressional or administrative actions can modify the program, and the likelihood of such modifications in 2018 and beyond. Additionally, this webinar will detail the timeline of the Title X grant cycle in fiscal years 2018 and 2019 and participants will leave this webinar able to describe the interaction of Title X with other state and federally funded public health programs, including Wisconsin.
As a result of attending this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Discuss the Title X federal family planning program's structure, guidelines, and regulations.
2. Identify three ways in which federal congressional or administrative actions can modify the program and the likelihood of each in 2018.
3. Detail the timeline of the Title X grant cycle in fiscal year 2018 and fiscal year 2019.
4. Describe the interaction of Title X with other state and federally funded public health programs.
Lauren Weiss, MSW, MPH – Manager, Advocacy & Communications at the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association (NFPRHA)
Lauren is a member of the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health's Advocacy & Communications team, where she handles policy issues related to publicly funded family planning and trains members to engage in advocacy and education with their elected officials. She holds a Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health from Washington University in St. Louis, where she specialized in violence and injury prevention among adolescents.

The fee for this webinar is waived for family planning clinics under contract with the state of Wisconsin and the Illinois Department of Public Health-Office of Women's Health and Family Services.
This webinar is intended for nurses, nurse practitioners, reproductive and sexual health advocates, sexual health educators, physician assistants, and other clinical staff that provide reproductive and sexual health care services.
A total of 1.00 nursing contact hours will be available for this event.
