Prompts and cues are supports we provide to our learners to assist them in performing a desired activity, behavior or skill. Participants will identify the different types of prompting hierarchies that can be used in the classroom and discuss the importance of fading cues to decrease prompt dependency over time.
1. Participants will name three types of prompts.
2. Participants will compare and contrast a least-to-most prompting hierarchy and a most-to-least prompting hierarchy.
3. Participants will discuss methods of fading prompts to discourage prompt dependency.
