The BDLS® course is a review of all-hazards topics including natural and accidental man made events; traumatic and explosive events; nuclear and radiological events; biological events; and chemical events (CBRNE) as well as mass casualty triage. Additionally, critical areas such as the health care professional’s role in the public health and incident management systems, community mental health, and special needs of underserved and vulnerable populations are addressed in the course curriculum.

Basic Disaster Life Support (BDLS®) Webinar 2018, to begin February 1, 2018 and every Thursday through March 22, 2018 - a total of 8 webinar sessions (must attend ALL sessions). Webinars will begin at 11:00am and end at 12:15pm Central Time

  • Introduction & Disaster Basics – February 1, 2018
  • Workforce Readiness & Deployment  – February 8, 2018
  • Natural Disasters– February 15. 2018
  • Chemical Disasters – February 22, 2018
  • Mass Casualty & Fatality Management – March 1, 2018
  • Explosive & Radiologic Disasters – March 8, 2018
  • Public Health Emergency Response – March 15, 2018
  • Biologic Disasters – March 22, 2018

Course completion will not be recognized unless participant attends ALL 8 sessions in their entirety.
