Intended Audience: General and Special Education Teachers, Social Workers, Psychologists, Related Service Providers, Paraprofessionals, and Administrators.
To accurately understand a student’s challenging behavior and support them in altering this behavior, school providers and educators need to develop a fluid understanding of the Behavior Pathway; its individual components and how to utilize it to support student success. Within the continuum of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), the Behavior Pathway is used as an intensive, Tier-3 evidenced-based practice and tool. This two-part professional learning series will enable you to operationally define a student’s challenging behavior, and determine what environmental factors may be triggering, maintaining, and/or reinforcing the behavior. An understanding of the pathway is an important precursor for determining the individualized supports and strategies each student will need for be effective for behavior change.
*PLEASE BE ADVISED, registration and attendance in all three sessions of this professional learning series is strongly recommended.*
