'Dimensions of Equity in Education: Socio-Cultural Awareness | Module 3
This is part 3 of a 3-part learning opportunity. Participants MUST attend and actively participate in: Equity, Culture & NYSED CRSE Framework-Module 1 and Dimensions of Equity of Tool-Module 2
Session Objectives:
• Grounding in around Equity & Culture as well as the NYSED Culturally Responsive Sustaining Education Framework (CRSE), which informs our work as Culturally Responsive Practitioners.
• Participants will explore concepts of Equity in their organization’s policies and procedures through unpacking Zaretta Hammond’s Dimensions of Equity Tool
• Review a case study of Socio-Cultural Awareness, which is an understanding of the role culture plays in educational processes & systems. '
